You were a supernova. You shone brighter than the farthest galaxies, and your eyes held the light of an innocent’s, a cleaned slate of bone and blood. Your eyes - bluer than the ocean lapping at the shore and still lighter than the first flames of a fire. They glimmered with the beauty of a false hope and burnt out my heart till all that was left was the ruin of your love and the ashes of heartbreak. And then all was bleak, and the only sound was the woodpecker crying in the wind.
